About Him

Naqi Ahmed Nadwi (born c. 1970) is an Islamic scholar, writer, speaker and activist. He is a modernist Islamic scholar trying to synthesize traditional Islamic scholarship with modern knowledge. He was born in Sheohar district of Bihar. He received his early education at his hometown Sheohar, Bihar, India. His father initiated his early training in Quranic studies then he later entered formal education in Islamic studies in famous Islamic university Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema, lucknow, Utter Pradesh, India.
During his education he benefited a lot from renowned Islamic Scholar Maulana Abdul Hasan Ali Nadwi. Among his famous teachers are Shaikh Salman Husseini Nadwi, Shaykh Khalil-ur-Rahman Sajjad Nomani, and late Maulana Abdul Noor Nadwi. In 1993 he joined All India Milli Council, a Muslim organization and worked with former president of All India Muslim Personal Law Board Qazi Mujahidul Islam Qasmi and Ex-MP Maulana Asrarul Haque Qasmi.

He has translated several books from Arabic to Urdu and has written many books on different topics which are well-acclaimed in Educational circles. Cloning & Islam, Seerat Shaikh Abdulaziz Bin Baz, Nishan-e-Rah are among his famous books. In addition to this, his lectures are well received in Muslim’s society.
Nadwi is a staunch advocate of Muslim harmony and believes that sectarian and Maslaki differences are roots of the evil in the Ummah. He is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
